If you have seen the TV show, "The Office," you might identify with some of the dysfunctional working environments and staff members. It's funny because it's true that people are strange.
A lot of companies will claim that their collaboration solution is a magic pill that will transform the office into a productive, happy place. Well, we won't say that because PlanDone is not for everyone.
If there is a workplace that rewards information hoarders, negative corporate cultures, counterproductive and isolated efforts at the most basic interpersonal level, then no layer of technology will solve this human condition. PlanDone’s open accountability system will, however, highlight the producers from the non-producers and serve to provide evidence for merit-based, performance evaluations, if so desired.
Bureaucracies and committee based decision making depends on the lack of accountability. People count on it and will use the inefficiencies to hide and blame others to promote themselves and take credit for other employee's work. It happens on TV and in real life especially in larger companies.
One of PlanDone's beta testers was convinced that they had a rock star employee who justified their high salary with glowing reports of their work in the board room. Just one problem - they had no way to prove it until they were put into the PlanDone site. Soon thereafter, he was fired after being discovered as a con man. The rest of the team was relieved, projects were easily delegated to other team members and the time/money/productivity saved ensured a timely project deadline.
